Ontario Bowl Skateboarding Championships
Skateboarding, art, and changemaking across Ontario.
The Ontario Bowl Skateboarding Championships was built on a simple realization: Ontario's independent skateboarding communities are fiercely independent. But when united around a common cause, they become unstoppable.
Presented by The Summit, and delivered in partnership with Canada Skateboard, "the championship" brings together bowl contests from across Ontario - creating a unified competitive pathway while awarding points toward Canada's National Ranking system.
Beyond the competition, the series creates a platform for urban arts, youth engagement, and changemaking. At every stop, athletes, artists, activists, and youth come together through contests, workshops, public art, storytelling, and community-building.
The Summit
The Summit Changemakers Foundation is a non-profit that leverages skateboarding, urban art, and activism as tools for positive social change. Through events, public art projects, workshops, and youth-led initiatives, we create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to connect, collaborate, and contribute to stronger communities. The Ontario Bowl Skateboarding Championships reflects this philosophy; uniting athletes, artists, youth, and changemakers through a shared belief that creativity, community, and purpose are stronger when they move together.
The 2025 Medway Open served as the pilot event for our signature combination of skateboarding, urban art, and community-led changemaking.
The Greenbelt Express
The Greenbelt Express is a travelling public art initiative that transforms working migrant farmworker buses into moving canvases. Painted LIVE at our events, these buses continue serving workers throughout the harvest season, before appearing in local Santa Claus Parades. By advocating-for and celebrating the people who help feed our province, The Greenbelt Express creates meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, artistic expression, and community dialogue; demonstrating how public art can build bridges between communities that might otherwise never meet.
